Although 2008 was set to be the darkest ever year in financial history over the world, information technology (IT) industry in Vietnam had increased 20% and continued to be one of the top 30 best countries for offshore service(1), according to Gartner’s latest report. In addition, the number of people using internet has gained 21 million that leads Vietnam to the eighteenth over the world and sixth in Asia. In order to continue strengthening Vietnam position, the government, firms and IT education centers planned to build up a large squad of 600.000 experts in 2015 and reach one million experts in 2020. Vietnamese government has approved the budget of 980 billion Vietnam Dong for developing software industry and information technology industry with the aim is that Vietnam will become a lead IT country over the world in every aspects in 2020.
